You're Not Lazy. You're Running on Empty.
Mental Health Is a Public Health Emergency
You're not lazy. You're not weak. You're not unmotivated.
You're running on empty β and nobody told you that was a medical diagnosis.
1 billion.
That's how many people on this earth are living with a mental health condition right now.
And the most dangerous part?
The communities carrying the heaviest loads β Black communities, African immigrant communities, first-generation Americans β are the ones talking about it the least.
We were raised to be strong.
To push through.
To not air our problems outside the house.
"We don't do therapy."
"Pray about it."
"Just keep moving."
And so we kept moving.
Right into burnout.
Right into anxiety disorders.
Right into hypertension at 38.
Right into depression we called "just being tired."
Here's what the Street Doctor needs you to understand this week:
π Mental health is not a character flaw. It is a public health emergency β and your community is at the epicenter.
We are going to talk about it all week.
Out loud.
With no shame.
Because silence has a body count.

When someone in your community is struggling mentally, what's the first thing people usually say? Drop it in the comments β let's expose the scripts we were handed.
