He Said He Was Fine
The Silent Epidemic Nobody Is Talking About
I want to tell you about a pattern I keep seeing.
Strong man. Provider. Works two jobs.
Says he feels fine.
"I don't have time to be sick."
Then one day โ he's in the ER.
Stage 3 kidney disease.
Uncontrolled hypertension.
Pre-diabetic for years and never knew.
His wife is sitting in the waiting room.
His kids are at home.
His income โ gone overnight.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US. African Americans are 30% more likely to have high blood pressure and 30% more likely to die from heart disease.
And the most dangerous part?
Most of these men had no financial protection in place.
No life insurance.
No critical illness coverage.
No plan for the day their body said enough.
The streets taught me this:
๐ Being strong and being protected are not the same thing.
Your strength keeps your family going.
Your plan keeps them going when you can't.

If you couldn't work for 6 months starting tomorrow, does your family have a financial plan? Be honest.
